Was thinking about bidding on this just for the interesting stuff at 1 o'clock on the obverse. Any and all opinions are welcome. Looks like a possible die break, or Cud, or clash, or some of the above or none of the above. Thanks, Ed

The books for reference are online at the Seated Liberty Collectors site. but I cannot tell if those are die characteristics or post mint damage. Good luck

Thanks. I've checked the Gobrecht Journal and NGCs Varietyplus and Coneca, but haven't found anything yet.

If I had to bet what it looked like in hand I'd guess PMD. Appears to have two odd shaped digs at 1:00.

That is an interesting shape at 1:00 on the obverse. I tend to agree with PMD but man if this old girl could talk.

Thanks everyone. If it doesn't go to the moon, it would be fun to own. Probably PMD as suggested.

To me the question is "Who made it?" and is there enough detail remaining to tell?
