Mr. Taylor very thoughtfully has provided us with a short biography and a very impressive resume. I thought everyone would like to know a little more about him before he comes to visit us. I will be talking to Mr. Taylor on Monday to set a firm date for his appearance with us! BIOGRAPHY
James became President and Chief Operating Officer of ANACS on July 25, 2005. Prior to this, he was a founding partner and president of another professional coin grading service. For ten years, he was Director of Education at the American Numismatic Association ( ANA) where he helped grow the association's Summer Seminar, produced and directed Money Talks, a daily radio program on the history and lore of money which was nominated for several Peabody Awards, and Money: History In Your Hands starring James Earl Jones. He also helped create a number of numismatic correspondence courses, and more.
Before his life in numismatics, James managed the Department of Cellular and Structural Biology at the University of Colorado Medical School, helped manage the Illinois Attorney General's Office and his unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign and worked at the University of Illinois Medical School's Center for Educational Development.
James has an MPA from Harvard University, and was a National Science Foundation Fellow at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His undergraduate degree in history, education and advertising is from Northwestern University. He has received a number of numismatic awards including a Krause Ambassadorship, the Medal of Merit from the ANA and several ANA Presidential Awards. He has published a number of articles about numismatics, business management and medical education. James is also a Certified Association Executive (CAE) through the American Society of Association Executives. Still, his proudest accomplishments are he and Imelda's four terrific children.

There's no question that he is eminently qualified for any position in numismatics. I think I may have heard him on "Money Talks" on the radio. I certainly know I'm looking forward to his visit with us next month.

I just HOPE Mr. Taylor and his crew will be kind enough to help this one man business get his hands on a couple of slabs (preferably empty) without going through the submission process? Also would like to point out the new design for my holders is an "A" shape that may be very attractive for those of you who favor the Anacs slab (of course its also favors my last name) but none the less it is an A! Now I may need to make something perfectly clear and that is I am NOT asking for anyone to give me anything!!! Just the opportunity to BUY a couple of SEALED slabs for use in the construction of my holders! JT are you listening? Well I guess I have given him his forum name as well? Hopefully I can get these very quickly the first of the year?
