Can anyone help with this one.
It looks similar to the ancient Indian square punch-marked coins and has the sun symbol found on them, but it doesn't seem to fit into any of the catalogue listings.
size: 29 mm x 29 mm, 6 mm thick.
weight: 46.05 g.
metal: unsure, but it feels heavy like lead and has a grey-brown patina.

Weight or some other decoration. Punchmarked coins were denominated in karshapana, which was a base weight of about 3.2g. Fractions exist, and doubles exist, but precious few Indian ancients ever weighed more than about 15g, let alone 46!

I can't say if this is ancient or not, or even Indian for that matter. But I do agree with Finn that it's not a coin. Most likely some type of weight possibly for grain.
