When you find a treasure they all are but I'm partial to the boxes when one can find silver!

For silver it has been half's for me. You find 40%ers more often, because the people out there with minimal knowledge of the coin still believes that only 64s and prior contain silver. I think pennies are fun to look at, maybe my favorite coin to search. But if you are looking for silver half's is where its at.

Carloscoria, think that all depends where you're at, and what Fed distribution/service area you're in. I haven't found silver in halves or dimes since late 2015 here in central MO. No Buffalos for just about as long, every now and then a war nik. LWC's still about the same, 5-12 usually per box, but 99% common dates. Have only found one Indian Head cent and one Barber dime in 2014, dry since then. Last few half rolls had three separate different markings on JFK's, these were Brink's rolls, came from a central collection point of Missouri banks...guess I have too many other stackers in my area...

I enjoy searching Quarter rolls, sure your chances of finding silver are all but non-existent, but thanks to the State Quarters and America the Beautiful Quarters there is a lot of variety to collect. Searching for errors with Quarters can likewise be very rewarding, and finding a high grade clad Washington quarter from the 60s or 70s can be just as exciting as finding a silver coin. I also don't feel as bad dumping Quarters at the bank after searching, because my bank actually likes to receive quarters back since they are in high demand by people who use them for laundry. :) I enjoy searching cents and halves, but the tellers sometimes have an attitude when I ask for them.

I have been wanting to branch out beyond nickels. I know you can find some wheaties in the pennies, but they are almost all from the 1940's and 1950's. I would like some denomination where I can find some good coins. I tried dimes for a brief time, but only found one silver in three boxes. My son only found 2-3 silver quarters in many years of roll searching. I guess that just leaves halves and dollars.
