This isn't the first Trumpet Tail variety I won on ebay, the 43-S Large S is already a very rare usage for the year, check our varietyvista for San Francisco mint mark style, except this one has signs of what appeared to be an over repunched mint mark or punch over a inverted mint mark.

The following images are from seller, I had to tone it down because original images are very warm in color, hopefully I can get better pictures once I get a good set up. Meanwhile; please have a look...

I have examine the coin and there are mint polished marks, but not enough to create the appearance in the area.

It does appear to have something sneaking around under the MM. It will be interesting to see your photos once in hand.
