It is not a 1922, only cents and dollars were struck that year. The markings by the hind legs are die erosion and the line by EPU is a clash mark.

Thank you! So it's not a 22,but it's a twenty something! LOL! Another question. Just below the 2 on the date it appears there is a F stamped into the coin. Does this mean anything? Or would this be PMD?

If your curiosity is killing your cat, give it a bath in 50% vinegar and 50% hydrogen peroxide for 4-12 hours. That will acid raise a date. Now, that does destroy/damage the coin and any worth, but you will raise enough to tell what the date is. An unknown date P mint isn't worth that much.

The date doesn't mean that much to me. But the clash doesn't add any value?

Only those specifically collecting that type of error, probably on a series, too, would consider those of value. If someone offered you a buck, trade your buffalo for a buck.

Quote: The date doesn't mean that much to me. But the clash doesn't add any value? I'd say nope! Once you start using acids on a nickel to raise the date it is pretty much just a novelty coin.
