Here is my new challenge: coins are generally, but not always round. To that end, post your coin that is least round. Here are the specifics:

1. You must use an actual coin meant for circulation--not a token, not a UFO, etc.
2. It cannot have been altered to change the shape. In other words, elongated cents are off-limits.
3. Most coins have one dimension which is the lowest. For the purposes of this round, assume that this is the thickness. Measure the other two perpendicular dimensions to the nearest millimeter, where one the highest number you can measure is the length and the final dimension is the width.
4. In the case of a coin with multiple lengths or widths (Chinese spade anyone?), pick the highest value for both measurements.
5. Take the ratio of the length to the width. Whoever has the highest number wins.

Here is one example: an Ant Nose of the Chu State in China dating back to 400 to 220 BC (Hartill 1.4). We can quibble about whether these were actually used as coins, but for the purpose of providing an example, let's pretend that there was general agreement about this. The width of this coin is 10 mm and the length is 17 mm, so my score would be 1.7. Note that I didn't measure the width at the lowest point of the coin to artificially decrease the number (and thus produce a higher ratio).
