Yet Another Forum Game - Numismatic Go Fish!

I was born in England and when I was 7 we sailed to Canada from Liverpool, but not in that ship.

Hmm This one made me think a little. I don't have anything coin related that could be considered "local". I have the Montana State and Glacier Park quarters but they are all in really bad condition...basically hole fillers. Then I read the requirements again and saw that Spruett mentioned banknotes being accepted for this round.

While this isn't "local", in fact it is on the other side of the state, it is a big reason why tourists visit our state. The geysers are pretty spectacular and the wildlife is not afraid of humans so photo ops are abundant. Just please stay in your vehicle with bears and bison around.

Winter in Yellowstone is like a wonderland. Most of the park is closed however if you have a snowmobile or cross country skis some access is available. Well worth the trip if you haven't done so yet. Just call ahead to find out what entrance is open and what is required to enter. This can change in winter due to weather.

I would also suggest a visit to Jackson Hole Wyoming during winter. Located close to Yellowstone and it has a top rate ski resort. But the reason I go is to see the elk migration. Massive herds gather in Jackson Hole. The Local boy scout troop feeds them. This is also where they drop their antlers. These are gathered up by the local boy scouts (the ONLY ones allowed to pick them up) and are sold to fund their troops activities and to purchase enough supplies to take care of the herds the next winter.

Now for my entry...I present to you the Yellowstone National Park $2 bill.



Now I pose a question to some of you tourists that have visited the park. Why do you think it is a good idea to try to face down or even ride a wild buffalo, elk, or moose? I mean how drunk do you need to be to think this is a good idea? One stomp of a hoof or hit from an antler will seriously hurt you and could even kill you.




For those of us that do not watch baseball, can you tell us when this will be?

This is the Iowa State Centennial Commemorative, they minted 100,057 and I found it while CRH. This coin is in great shape for being found while CRH. I have also shared the history of the coin for all of you. Enjoy!

all I can remember about professional baseball was a game we went to in Chicago in around 1961 or so in Boy Scouts. The Chicago White Sox was playing the Minnesota Twins. The score was like a football game Twins 24, Sox 17. Just remember the score is all, we were listening to the game on hand held transistor radios because we were in the outfield seats and couldn't see the ants moving very well.
