Quote:I guess I assumed the subject matter would have to be something played, not used. It is odd, then, that you did not question keith12's cowbell submission or the bell (which may not actually exist) posted by january1may. Also, how do you "play" something without "using" it? I have decided through "executive action" (my rules, right?) to declare... keith12 ...the winner! This is based on originality in the spirit I intended for this challenge and lack of dilution through duplication. If I had realized the "coat of arms" potential, I would have excluded them from the scoring at the beginning. I, like others, don't particularly want to see a hundred examples of the same coin for the sake of collecting points. My final comment: if anyone decides to not photograph their coins/collections, do not complain when others have taken the time to do so. This entire game is based on providing pics of your coins. It is no one else's fault when someone does not, and it is not a legitimate complaint to support not winning challenges. The floor is yours, keith12!

Quote: It is odd, then, that you did not question keith12's cowbell submission or the bell (which may not actually exist) posted by january1may. To be honest, I was not paying attention to all of the submission because, quite franky, there were too many of them and since I had nothing to contribute this time. An Ike will almost always catch my eye, which is why I questioned it being submitted. Quote: Also, how do you "play" something without "using" it? All that are played can be used, but not all that are used can be played.

Quote:Not sure what you mean. Then stop playing Quote: Okay, here is The Challenge!
This is another cumulative points game with unlimited entries.
Post your coins/tokens/medals featuring musical instruments!
Each separate instrument(even duplicates) on each coin/token/medal posted will receive one point .. It's as simple as that! The first to post will win any tiebreakers and the most points wins. Let's let this run until Wednesday night, May 8th.
Quote: While I love the participation, I may have to rethink the scoring when it comes to crests.I was unaware of that lyre on British and Canadian coins. I knew of the Irish coins, but those haven't been posted en mass. There are simply too many of the same coins, so I think it's only fair to reward creativity. For instance, Keith12 is the only one to post a DC quarter.
To be clear, I would never adjust rules to favor any particular participant. Let's see something different!
