Yet Another Forum Game - Numismatic Go Fish!

Okay, before the final day for entries, I have decided my rule change. I never intended for multiples of the exact same type coin to count for more points. For example, I was not thinking of someone posting every possible mintmark, strike and composition of the US Bicentennial quarter and they all count for a point each. That's silly.

On the other hand, I don't want to restrict the posting of coins with a common coat of arms, because they can be stylized and the coins can end up quite unique. So, for the purposes of this round:

Only one example of each unique type will count for points. Duplicates, even with different dates and/or mintmark will not count. Each coin must be unique beyond date and mintmark (if applicable).

Differences in size and denomination will be considered unique, even if the coat of arms is identical. Composition will not be considered.

To be fair, I have not calculated any scores to this point other than my very first post regarding Dorado (which may change, I don't know), so this decision does not reflect any perceived or expected outcome.

Depending on the result, I might have to make an executive decision to override it.

Do I need to calculate the results? If the winner is going to be vetoed anyway, I won't go through the trouble of tabulating individual scores.

I guess I assumed the subject matter would have to be something played, not used.


Obviously my sense of humour does not hit.
