I apologize, was distracted, then realized that I didn't actually have the pics I thought I had, and tried to take them in a hurry. Then got distracted again.

I can try to post the challenge next morning (in about 10-17 hours, depending on how my schedule works out), but I'm willing to defer to someone else if you think that's too late.

While we wait and since I missed this last challenge, I thought I'd share this heavily vandalized '93 Large Cent. They got both sides, but I'm still proud to own it.

Awesome cent! I'd have voted for it if it had been an option.

That's an incredible coin to own in any condition! I keep forgetting that you have coins besides your medievals!

I am going to make a judgement call. If someone has something ready to post, feel free to go ahead. Otherwise, we wait.

Maybe it would help if we had list of ideas to be used for future challenges. Things like:

- oldest coin with lettering
- newest coin with no lettering
- oldest coin with airplane, car, locomotive, ship, etc.
- star with the most points
- coin with the largest central hole
- etc.

A moderator would have to collect these in one place, I suppose.

I've actually had my idea ready for a while, just got distracted by Spence's cent. Posting this so that I don't get my place taken while I assemble the big post.

EDIT: actually, scratch that, misunderstood my schedule, would be too busy to post anything for the next two hours and a bit. If you think that's too long, post away.

Finally free(-ish) again, so posting the contest!

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish! Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

This is a 20 centimes coin of the French Protectorate of Tunisia, dated 1942.
(I apologize for the lack of photo quality.)

Or, well, this used to be one; only about 60% of the coin is left.
Fortunately, this is (far more than) enough to completely identify the coin.

Post your smallest remaining fraction of a coin such that the original is still completely identifiable! (Aside from minor subvarieties, obviously.)

The smallest fraction wins, though if there are several contenders that look similar in percentage, I'd probably hold a popularity run-off. (I'm open to the idea of just holding a popularity contest on the entire bunch.)
