Since I have had only two entries in 3 days, I declare PEPACTONIUS the winner! I guess banning American coins killed the contest We await your challenge PEPACTONIUS!

The next round will have to wait for a few hours until I get logged on with a real PC (and not this mouseless tablet).

The next round will be a simple one-dimensional challenge to match the date of the challenge coin as close as possible. The challenge coin: 1500 -- Archbishopric of Salzburg, 1 batzen: The goal is to come up with a coin dated as close to 1500 as possible. 1) Each entry gets 1 point for each year that the date differs from 1500. 2) Coins that could have been minted in a range of years get points based on the farthest-away year. Example: coins made from 1496 to 1507 will receive 7 points. This includes Islamic-dated coins, where one date would normally overlap two AD years. 3) The entry with the fewest points wins this round. In case of a points tie, the earliest entry wins. 4) Posts without a coin will receive 2500 points -- the first post of this type can win, if no valid entries are received. 5) If a user posts multiple entries, the one earning the fewest points will count in the standings. 6) If there are no entries, the CCF staff will determine how to proceed. 7) Added:: cutoff time for entries will be 18:00 Forum time, 2020/12/05. Anyway -- let the round begin, and good luck to all.
