All look good so far. bd251, IIRC the bolsheviks imposed a communist legislature in Finland in 1917, so that would certainly apply, as well as being a part of Russia.

I guess I'll have to go with the most obvious civil war:

United States -- 1 cent, 1862:

Forgot I had this one. Darth sent it to me with an Ike I bought from him. Not as old as my first submission though.

Love that ancient, but can't see anything. Again going for the silver medal in this round, the often shown and never licked Conmmonwealth Half Crown.

1656 and issued by a group of people who chopped the King's head off, causing outrage through absolutist Europe!

And with Princetane's Commenwealth Half Crown we close the contest, with the laurels going to January1May. Take it away J1M.

Carthage Copper Unit, 1st or 2nd Punic war 204BC, fighting between Kings Massinissa and Jugurtha and the Roman Republic. It may be late, but look into your heart!

That is the latest, I believe it could be as old as 400BC and it was known that the Carthaginians were forever inflighting with ieach other.

Neat coin @Princetane!
I'd probably want better pics, and/or a more definite ID (and/or a better explanation of the civil war in question), but I don't have a ready idea right now anyway.

As such, with the second best score even if your late entry doesn't end up counting, you're next in line if I fail to think of anything in the next day or two.
(And I might well end up forfeiting it to you before that, especially if the better pics and/or explanations do indeed come in.)

[EDIT: slightly clarified the explanation.]
