This challenge is to post the longest run coins with consecutive denominations. Rules: 1. Post as many coins as you can where the next coin in the run has a denomination no larger than one more than the previous. One point per coin 2. The coin must actually display the number as a numeral or spelled out (in any language) 3. Fractional values are allowed as long as the follow rule 2. 4. The coins can be from different countries. 5. Your run CAN be extended after your first post if you find a coin to add to either end or in between. Example:   This run is "1, 2, 2 1/2, 3, 4" for five points. This run could be extended with a "5" or fractional denomination. However, I could not extend this run with my 1903 farthing. Even though a farthing is worth 1/4 penny, "1/4" or "quarter" is not on the coin (breaks rule 2) Edited by bd251

I could probably manage 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 3 just from Russian coinage alone, and extend with 4, 5, and maybe 6 if I find any of my 4-denominated coins (not Russian). Got 2 1/2 as well, though also not Russian. Don't think I've got a 7... Fractions will be interesting; I think I have a few others. A lot depends on what qualifies. |
