I know this will be a very hard coin to exactly match so scoring will be like this Category A - Date and Place +10 Any Turkish silver or billion coin (at least 20% silver) issued before 1800AD (AH 1215) +5 Bonus points if coin is of Sultan Abdul Hamid I (1773 - 1789, AH 1187 - 1203) +6 Any Turkish coin issued between 1800 and 1861 (Sultans Selim III, Mahumd II or Abdulmecid I (to AH 1277) +3 Any Turkish coin from Ottoman era pre 1922 (AH 1340) +2 Any other Ottoman coin (Egypt, Hejaz, Syria etc) +1 Any other Turkish coin (Earlier caliphate or republic) Coins that do not fit this criteria are ineligible. Size +5 points if over 40mm +2 points 30 - 39.9mm +0 under 30mm Metal +5 points 30 - 70% silver +2 points silver between 10 - 29.9% and over 70% +0 other metal including gold Script +5 Completely in Arabic Islamic Script +3 As above but with some western or other script +0 No Islamic script. Good luck, any 2 Zolota coins will automatically win and 1st come 1st to get the points. PS - Only Ottoman or other Arabic coins are eligible. Fun rankings for all Participants. AH1223/23, 1808AD 5 kurush, 22% silver, just a tad shy of 40mm at 38mm... Lets see, +6, +2, +2, +5, and +5 for saying "go fish" should add up to +20 points for me! Not deceptive as it is assumed you say "Go Fish" when you don't have a card to play. In the case of this contest it is a coin to play. If you have a coin, you can not claim fish points too. Triggersmob 10 points (Janissary entrant) Mrwhatisit 15 points (Bey/Effendi level) - Lovely Beslik like the one I have. Yours is a few years older and already has more silver than mine (Year 27 and 17% silver). JBuck - 5 points NumisEd - Show it anyway as there are some token points for modern Turkish pieces. That is amazing as there are about 8 or 9 other denominations between that and mine which was the largest billion one before the next coin, the Half Zeri Mabub gold coin of 70 Para!! And with that I wil end the contest.
