Ttkoo's 1923 half penny is rare.

Hence my decision to keep it.
When I purchased my father's collection from his estate (to appease my 4 siblings, I was surprised to see a 1923 half penny among the coins. I was even more surprised to see the poor condition of it. Sadly he is not around now to enlighten me about the circumstance of how he came to he in possession of such a tragic example!

I'm still a bit under the weather so my apologies in advance if this is a weak challenge. Post your coin depicting a political revolutionary who participated in the successful overthrow of their government. Points = sum of digits in date + diameter (mm).

I hope you are feeling better soon. I finally went to the doctor yesterday to get an Rx for antibiotics and cough syrup — "the good stuff" (the OTC products had ceased functioning).

Nice coin, triggersmob!

Thank you, jbuck. I should be thankful for the 1 month reprieve from my GI issues rather than bemoaning the return of my symptoms that have tormented me for the last 4 years.

George Washington
Maybe from a certain point of view. But as I see it, he worked for the government which declared independence from the previous government.

The first guy that came to mind for me was Ernesto Che Guevara, but not sure he qualifies, as he is not from Cuba, he is Argentinian.

Cuba 1992 3 pesos

But if he does it would be 21 + 26.5 = 47.5
