1949 50 Centimos That really is a nice looking coin! But the date is not 1949.  See the stars on either side of ESPANA? The one after the last A has a small '52' written inside of it, meaning that coin is actually from 1952. The 1949 was just a frozen date used for a variety of different years.  |

Apparently, I had no photographs of any of my Spanish coins. Now I have three! It is only worth one point, but here is a 1 peseta piece from 1965:  The numbers in the last star were weakly struck, so they are not that visible from those pictures. But in hand, they are definitely a '6' and a '5'. |
