Surely someone has one of these?! So I'm out of range for the next say 4 hours, doing a lunch with my wife,( it's our 38th anniversary), so if no-one has one of these (shocked!), at 10PM forum time, I'll accept any Louix VXI coin.

Congratulations! Quote: Ok any French coin from the 19th century ...19th, or 18th? 1785 is the 18th century. (I can do either but I don't want to needlessly confuse the thread.)

Just in case... 19th century (5 francs 1831-D) 18th century (30 deniers 1710-AA) Note that, while this 30 deniers type ("mousquetaire") is often listed as a colonial coin (in particular, it's apparently listed in the Red Book as such), AFAIK further research had found that specifically the AA mint variant was issued for circulation in (parts of) what is now mainland France. If 19th century was the correct reading, consider the 30 deniers my next challenge.
