1977 D Penny Mint Mark Error?

I have a 1977 D penny in good condition. I noticed the mint mark D is so small you can barely tell that its a D. It looks more like just a bubble. Is this normal? Or an error. I hope the picture is clear enough. Thank you for any information.

From the looks of it, it looks like a normal D mintmark.
