I'm trying to figure out whether my 1832 CBH is a large letter, or small letter, and from there any Overton number. I noticed the 'A' in STATES is barely there, and PLURIBUS is missing the URI (or 95% of it). The ribbon is also thinner, not as high in that area. Initially, I wrote it off as wear, but now I'm thinking it was Struck Through Grease. Opinions?

On the obverse I'm noticing what I think is MD along the left of Liberty's profile, at her hair, and then from her nose down to her neck. There's also a nice Cud on the reverse. Those got me looking into the O-numbers. Is there a '32 DDO, or is it MD?

Thanks!

The 32 large letter have that crazy die crack that rides up through the left(facing) wing. So I think you can rule that out.

Thanks Mike. I guess you need to look at other things, aside from what coinfacts has circled!

No problem. I only know b/c I bid on one and lost. Some guy paid $1,300 for it.

That weakness is a known striking issue, it is opposite the point of highest relief(lower bust) so it does not always have fully struck details in the area.

Beefer, that is a wonderful coin, congrats!
Mike, the toning on the reverse of that half dollar is incredible, thanks for posting it, even if you didn't get it.
