So it's either a foreign object adhered to the coin, or a chip/gouge. I finally found some pure Acetone. How long should I soak it? Do I need to flip it? Can I soak more than one coin at a time? Is it possible to soak it too long?

Overnite in a closed glass container. Not necessary to flip unless want to make sure front is really clear...this is a science experiment, not coin resurrection! Acetone will air dry. Then use wood toothpick to see if you can dislodge or lift up.

From the image of the coin, try using dishsoap and water with a soft bristle brush (toothbrush) before acetone. There seems to be some grease that that will remove, and just water and brush may remove it if lightly attached. Coin ain't worth nothing anyway, this I wouldn't suggest on a valuable coin for sure!
