So here is some pics for the 2nd cent.
I took a penny and hit it with a hammer a few dozen times to try and get the look. Using a flat head hammer. Results don't look the same lol. I also used a disc sander on my dremel and you can see the cuts in the coin.

Here is images of the side lip on the coin. Then a comparison to the other two I sanded and smashed.

image of the back. The left side looks like it got "smashed" or took on that smeared out effect.
To me after looking at more images. I'm thinking more of a mint error now. Cause the pressure around the edges are more compressed and even then smeared with a bunch of marks like the hammer and sander produced. I should be getting my micro lens camera later this week. I'll look closer at the "helmet" cause it looks melted more so then smashed to me.
