Can I be so lucky? It weighs out a zinc. It's obviously a huge mess. I think small date. If it happens to be a DDR, do you think a third party grader could restore/conserve this?

I've been looking at potential errors too long today. My eyes are starting to cross. Ugh. Thanks always for any input. Chris

I see no doubling, not even MD on reverse. It woul show up on E PLURIBUS UNUM. No, conservation on zinc rot is impossible. Once zinc has been exposed to air/oils, no going back. I'm not big on submitting error coins for grading unless it is currently listed as a low population coin or is in at least an MS-65 or higher grading for common errors like RPM,DDO / DDR that list for only a few bucks at that, too common, never really increase in price. I really believe current error coin frenzy is a fad, it will eventually settle down, so will the worth/prices. I collect them because I'm interested, not as sale item or investment, most coins have very slight investment potential to being with, error coins are at the bottom of that ladder, for me anyway. I just like the hunt, discovery is a thrill!

It is a small date but it's nothing more than a spender.
