Hey guys, I've got 3 pennies I'd like your feedback on. I'll try my best to make sense!

First up is a decent looking shiny 1972 D Lincoln Memorial penny with the V.D.B initials Being barely visable, almost non existent. I've read this is rare. It looks to me to have been struck way low even if you could see the initials they should be higher? It just doesn't line up with other VDB initials I've compared it to.

Okay next up is a 1972 S Lincoln Memorial penny which looks to me to have a double die strike on the date. I can see it on the 9, 7, 2. And the S is weird.

And finally, a 1972 no mint penny that is really dark, but still has nice features. Why?

1st: Not rare most likely a Grease Filled Die or over abraded by a mint employe.
2nd: Not a doubled die,MD.
3rd: Just a nice toning,maybe a metal detector find.

You need to learn more about Doubled Dies so I suggest you go here doubleddie.com. Machine Doubling is very common and carries no premium at all. Another website you should check out error-ref.com.
