What a shame. No sale at $10,000, either.

I don't get it - for 10.000$ NO bids? Must have been that 3 dollar shipping charge that drove them away!

My impression - on my phone - from the poor pics is it's the 1921-only reverse.

It has a slanted top arrow feather, instead of the 1878 7TF w/PAF found on 1921 reverses. I think it MAY be a genuine 1890-CC, but the story and circumstances are a load of hokey.

Knee deep water - assuming about 1.5-2? feet for an average size human male - and 6 inches below said water under sand is possible, but unlikely; at any rate the coin shows no saltwater damage at all.

A more likely story is that the seller's tale is simply that - a tall tale invented to try to cash in on a rather ugly 1890-CC Morgan, fake or real.

As an aside, seller is violating ebay listing policy by falsely stating that the coin is PCGS certified in the listing header.
