@MoneyPenney If this sells out in minutes, for sure it is commissioned. Maybe I am wrong in what I said about this coin and I really do hope I am. Still....I am really "Canada 150'd out". As I said in my earlier post, I have bought quite a lot of 150 issues of coins already including many of the "Heart of Canada" coins along with all the other babies in the series. And, I forgot to add, I am also awaiting the arrival in October of the very expensive "Puzzle Coin". My wallet is empty for anything else "150" unless it is extraordinary which I find this coin not to be.

I still want to collect as many Canada 150 coins as possible.
I like the Canada 150 theme and the low mintage of this coin. The visual? Not so much. I will try to convince myself how beautiful this coin is before Tuesday.

Quote: I smell Bromberg again. If the reps are pushing it than it's not commissioned.

Ummmmmm......@jakalope Marketing is making reps send out different types of promotional letters prior to the advance releases lately. I got one for the 2018 big coins and many other big ticket items prior to the official advance releases for MC prestige. Their strategy is to create an "urgency" to buy. Just my Two Cents. I even got an email telling me that the 5k silver coin will be taken off as of this coming week: Hence, the urgency to buy this one. I also receive emails repeating the releases earlier on in the month telling me "just in case" I did not notice the new coins before they sell out..

IMHO it does not matter whether a coin "sells out". The final mintage will not be known for many months and by that time, as others have pointed out, the focus will have long shifted to the next "hot" coin.
The above coin sems to fit with the Heart of our Nation design, guess it is being sold in a large format because the 3 sub 1/4 oz is complete?

That is what I mean New1954, the commissioned coins are sold out at the mint and Bromberg is pushing them but the non-commissioned coins the reps are pushing because they can't get rid of them. How many of the Bromberg creations have the reps constantly sent you e-mails reminding you about? Not to many. That's why they are trying to create hype for this coin because they are not expecting an instant sell out, meaning nobody is taking half the mintage or more off their hands.

They've inundated us with 5 oz coins - even deep pocketed collectors will need to take a breather

Exactly. You know coins are commissioned when the rep say in their email, "very limited quantities", "expect a quick sell-out". That mean they have very few of them and the coins go pretty fast. For this coin, they are not saying any of that. You know its their own coins when they sent out repeated emails, trying to sell product that still have inventory for.

My RCM guy emailed this AM. Said 70% sold, balance today. I bought one before reviewing your comments. I hope mine has an error. Cheers

If you stare at the coin long enough you are supposed to see a marijuana leaf!

Its back in stock if you want one.
I passed on it. If I was going to spend $500+ on a coin I will get another 5 oz voyageur coin instead of a painted coin.

Does anybody else see the similarities? I was wondering where these ideas came from.
