I saw a really cool bill that I think was a two dollar bill. It looked like it was from the 19th century. The note had a very large horizontal dark number 2 across the front. I thought the note was really cool looking. What bill fits this description? -PP

Sounds like you are describing the "Lazy Two". It's a national bank note from the 1860's.

There is so many 2 dollar bills from that era that its almost impossible to tell you which one you were talking about, the horse blanket and bracelet types are just two that comes to mind when I think of old $2's

It wasnt one of the notes Bryan1315 posted. It could be the lazy two from the 1860s, does someone have a picture of one? -PP

The "Lazy Two" National Bank Note was issued from 1865- 1878.
