i found some errors on this penny 1983 d
it might be a big D behind the "L" on Liberty
and another D or Something onto the D mark, perhaps another D?
the backside has some extra bumps on the Lincoln memorial pillars

What's on the obverse looks like the beginning stages of zinc rot and it's probably due to split plating in those areas that exposed the zinc core creating bubbles underneath the copper layer from corrosion-created gases.

What's on the memorial, I can't say because the pic is too blurry.

1983 errors on 1 coin? That sounds pretty impressive.
Rest in Peace

with spruett. Just gas bubbles. If you push on them with a toothpick, they will probably collapse.

No errors, just corrosion/zinc rot.

Zinc Rot. Very typical for the Zinc cents. Worth 1 cent.

Yes, the US mint started minting these little pieces of junk during later 1982 and we've been blessed with them ever since.

I know Mark right. I never really liked how quickly it would take the Zinc cents to become like this and how the condition drops quick. Copper cents held up way better than Zinc cents. :)
