Sitting here scratching my head on this coin and started playing with the color and it appears that there is something else printed on this coin? I see the #2 and the letter R. Any thoughts?

Probably just your mind playing tricks on you. Probably just Gas Bubbles that's are shaped like a number or letter. Gas Bubbles haven't no added extra value since it's very common on Zinc cents.
