...and get a bigger bank account too. Have seen lots of raw Draped Bust large cents in the last months on ebay going for good money. Looks like a possible niche there to be exploited if I had the time and money . Not likely to have those two things anytime in the near future, but maybe somebody else does.
Rest in Peace

Thanks for the tip. I explore early type on ebay on occasion, but it's been several years since I purchased a raw coin there. I realize there are probably some great raw buys, but I enjoy filling my 9 pocket pages with nice NGC and PCGS.

I still have 500 nice raw in my collection, mostly in year sets, but I have drifted away from buying more. In fact, it's more likely ill eliminate some of those non-goal raw to work on more of my goal sets.

I would be very careful about any raw coins on ebay. The Chinese are making so many fakes these days it's scary. They have a made a few fakes that have fooled PCGS and NGC which have gotten into their slabs. If you get stuck with one of those certified fakes, those grading services are more than happy to get them out of numismatic circulation and cover your losses. If you buy the theh fakes on your own, you are stuck.

Yes thanks, I realize that. Should clarify, was mainly talking about the low grade stuff, like FR02-G04......not worth enough to slab, but still commanding a good price. Even the damaged stuff is selling well....there's a real skill/art form, in learning that market.
