So I just started metal detecting a little while ago and I love it. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section I just joined this forum.

In the few times I went searching I found a handful of coins (See pic). They are all in quite a bad shape and not cleaned up yet. Does anyone know how to clean up coins like this without damaging them? I've heard people clean them with oil or a toothbrush, are these good ways to clean them?

Also, could the second picture be a coin? I kinda see a head in it looking to the left. The coin is also very thick.

Thanks

The second pic didn't go in the first post for some reason.
