Charlton vol 2 2017 edition lists the 1 1/2oz eight dollar silver coins in this series on page 528. Both the 2014 and 2015 coins show a PROOF finish (mintage 7,500 and n/a). There are lots of BULLION finish coins available from dealers and on the net, but I cannot seem to locate any coins in proof finish. Does the proof coins exist and if so where are they available?

I never heard about 2014 and 2015 Proof 1.5oz RCM coins, but here the story, that might help you.
(probably you know it, but might be someone do not):

In far 2013 after the last Wildlife 1oz coin saw the world, collectors got to know new worlds "Lear Capital".
The Lear Capital was the dealer, who exclusively (or almost) planned to sell new RCM bullion coin. Nothing special, but 2 facts:
1. It was exclusive to Lear Capital (however, in the 2012 we had 3/4oz bullion coin, that was exclusive to some dealer)
2. The coin was in unusual format: 1.5oz 38mm
The Polar Bear.

Relatively simple, not very detailed design.
Bad news:
as previously ( RCM special), the coin developed "milk-spots", not each and every coin, but still.
And - no standard capsule could fit the coin (at that time).
Possibilities were: 'X' air-tite capsule, with the soft foam insert, or the capsule from "Glass Insects" / "Crystal drop Maple" could help.

So, 1.5oz it cool and innovative, but milk spots and capsule....not the best for the collector, and in addition, the RCM didn't get good profits.

Well...
RCM issues same coin, but with Proof Finish, with COA, case and capsule. Price - CAD 124.95
These coins distributed as single, or paired with 1/4oz Gold coin with the same design.

I think - singles "failed"....collectors weren't ready to pay extra for exactly same design but proof.
It available now for closely to CAD 100.

Lesson learnt.
Year 2014.
RCM issues new bullion 1.5oz coin - Arctic Fox.
IMO - great, detailed design, and distributed via all dealers.
Bit after bullion - issued Proof version. BUT: it was already 1oz and not 1.5
Failed as well.

After 2014, I think have been minted 2 or 3 bullion coins, with Arctic wildlife theme, 1.5oz , but not Proof
Rest in Peace

Thank you for the links. Has anyone managed to find the 2014 and 2015 PROOF 1 1/2oz coins referenced in Charlton vol 2 2017 edition?

I wonder if that Charlton listing is just somewhat skewed?

In both 2014 and 2015 RCM did use the same theme as the 1.5 oz Wildlife Series, but in proof finish and weight was 1oz. Mintage did happen to be 7500. I'm thinking it's quite unlikely for RCM to have issued two silver coins, a 1 oz and a 1.5 oz, of the same theme in each year.

Yes, as Silveroud also wrote, in 2013 RCM minted a 1.5 oz proof version of the bullion Wildlife Series. And then reduced it to 1 oz in 2014 and 2015.

2013 - Polar Bear 1.5 oz
