does anyone know where the designer's initials are on the 1958D penny? I've read that all modern coins have them, but I've looked all over mine (i have an uncirculated roll) with a 10x loupe and can't find them anywhere.
thank you,
lenette

Both obverse and reverse were designed by Victor D Brenner. His initials are on the obverse on the Lincoln bust at the very bottom. They are on the angled part just as the bust ends on the bottom. You might have to angle the coin a little because as the bust ends it angles back toward the field. If you have an unc newer cent look at it first to see the initials because the VDB has been there since 1918. The memorial reverse was designed by Frank Gasparro so the Memorial cent has designers initials on both sides. See if you can find it. If you can't I'll try to give a better description.

There is a picture of the designer's initials on page 114 of the 2008 RedBook.
