It looks like a die chip to me. I've seen other LSC's posted with cracks/chips in that same area so it must be a die stress point. If there is any damage around it, it's not enough to push that much metal up.

It is a Die Chip. This is in a common area where this is the weakest point of the die, so if die stress happens, this area is the first area to get Die Chips before any other area.
