Yes, common weight for a copper 82 Large Date Denver cent. Now if you had the copper Small Date 82-D then that's the RARE one!

Mine weight anywhere from 2.7 to 3.1.

1982 has both copper and copper plated zinc core. The copper should weigh 3.1 grams and the plated ones 2.5 grams. The mint tolerance is .13 +/-
