These are silver coins, and I read somewhere on the internet that it's from the late Majapahit Kingdom. Unfortunately I forgot where the site is.. The guy compared several kinds of Majapahit coins, and a few other kingdoms, even prehistoric barter medias from around Indonesia, iirc.

The concave obverse has a square incuse mark, a flower with 4 petals (forgot what flower -- wish I could find that site again!), while the reverse depicts.. uh.. some symbols related to the kingdom iirc (again, wish I could find that site again!).

The weight of my Massa coins really vary: 2.50, 2.36, 2.28, 1.84, and 1.57 grams.

The seller claimed that the coins were dug from the ground. He also showed me larger silver coins from the kingdom era.. maybe if I have more money I'll buy them too! They're all awesome coins.

The first one is the best one (1.84 grams) with the best strike (even with a slight tinge of metallic silver). My other coins have weaker strikes. The second one is the heaviest I have (2.50 grams)

Very nice! I have only seen these at auction once, but didn't win.

I like the Incuse punch in the back - could easily be confused with an archaic Greek coin!
