I have just received a proof set of the new coin designs! I am happy to say the set looks every bit as good as it does on The Royal Mint's website; coins, case and all. I took a few quick snaps with my camera phone, enjoy!

Very Nice, thanks for sharing them with us.
IMO, I think they should have placed the coins representing a shield closer together, I think it would look 'spot on'
How much did these beauties fetch, if I may ask?

1964S,

That is the price for the Brilliant Uncirculated set.
The Proof set is being sold for £34.95 on The Royal Mint web site.

Yes, this is the proof set for £34.95.
You can find it here: http://royalmint.com/PackedSets/UKF8BPS.aspx

I also got the silver proof set. I will post the pics later on. Do you think it would be a good idea to get the regular 2008 proof set with the old/current coin design? Or should I just stick with the new coin design set for 2008? I already spent way too much, lol.

I decided to get the new coin design set since the mintage was set at 20,000 vs 30,000 for the old/current proof coin set. There is also a deluxe proof set for the old/current coin design which has a mintage of 15,000, it comes with three commemorative coins. What do you all think?
