Hi, my name is Russell. I have come here to find help identifying some asian coins that are embedded in hand crafted masks. From the images I've been able to find so far, I've possibly narrowed them down to Mongolian, possibly 18th century, but have not found any identical to mine.

They are embedded in Oriental masks. The masks are hand carved, about 3' tall, 13lbs each, lots of hand carving and inlaid designs that seem to be mother of pearl, or some other shell. Very ornate, I cannot see the back sides of the coins. One mask the coins are scarred where someone tried to pry them out. Have no idea of the age of the masks, this is what I am trying to determine. They could be quite valuable, I thought starting with finding the origin of the coins might lead me to the origin of the masks. I can posts pictures of the masks if that will help.
