With those pics and the fact it's a '59 (P), I'm convinced it is a genuine Black Beauty.

I don't think getting it graded will help to realize the prices you mentioned but, it's a really subjective market and most listed are not authenticated. If you do decide to submit it, I would go with ANACS.

I saw one graded MS-63 by ANACS that recently sold for about $50. All the others were raw coins, so that's no help.

If you will, post those last comparative pics on the Official Black Beauty topic that Crazyb0 linked to. The more genuine examples in one place, the better.

Thank you spruett001! The weird thing is, its color varies in certain light..... That's how shiny it is. It's lighter in person than the pictures I posted but that's the best I could do. I tried to show multiple angles in multiple lights.

I believe your 59-P Jefferson is a genuine Black Beauty , as I have a few of these myself . Depending on condition , they can have some value .
