Congratulations! You found a Cud (Major Die Break)! It happens when a piece of the die breaks off of the die. A keeper and with a premium. Not sure on the value, but as a guess, maybe 10 to 15 dollars. :)

Condition does knock it down majorly. They are plentiful enough that in that grade (XF40 at best) is (should be) no more than $5. But on ebay...sucker prices reign, and yea, could sell for $10, not to me tho...
