So I bought this nickel at a coin store yesterday, because this looks to me to be a possible 2 feather. When I go to research, it shows PCGS has only ever verified 10, and none have ever been sold. If it is, any thoughts on what this might be worth? Look forward to your posts. Thanks so much everyone.

Looks like it may be, but ive never owned one myself. Hopefully you'll get a more definitive answer.

No definite answer here ,but it sure looks like a 2 feather variety . Too bad the coin is a low grade example .

I don't think so.The coin is well worn and there may have been some abraded die in the area in question as well, but part of the Third Feather is still visible. We are also looking at a tilted picture, I put it in a right order for better viewing.

Most two feathers really only have two feathers, but the one in the link I showed you looks like there is a little of the third feather left.

Thanks everyone. I greatly appreciate all your input. I thought it looked pretty good myself. Does ANACS verify varieties?
And I have seen a couple PCGS verified ones with a small area of evidence. So thought I'd give it a shot for the amount.
