Got this coin today and was looking at darker area on lower right obverse. Tried some acetone on a Q-tip and nothing really happened. When I look at it with a loupe it looks like it could be another Cud. Not sure my pic is that great but take a look.

yes it does on the first pic. But under magnification it is raised The second pic kind of shows this with the light shining on the edge coming down from the star.

Looks to me like the coin sustained damaged and the raised area is pushed metal.

it looks that way on my pic. like there is a dent or hole but it is dark color in that area. not damaged looking in hand

something odd but I can't show it with a pic unfortunately. Would a die break be able to cause the area to be raised?
