Yes!! What does v-f mean? Very fine I'm guessing!! What grade would it be considerd? Very new to coin hunting trying to learn and get lucky at same time two for one.

Politely suggest that you would indeed benefit from reading a basic book on coin collecting.

VF indicates an opinion on state of preservation ... Very Fine as you presumed.

This is a 'grade' associated with coins that have seen significant circulation wear ... and in the case of your 1965 quarter makes the numismatic (collectable) value zero.
