I'm working on a Nickle box tonight and I'm noticing all the pre 1960 nickels are marked with a marker on the reverse. It was a sealed bank box but looks to be already searched. Has anyone seen this before? I've only seen it with what little half dollars I've searched.
Rest in Peace

It's me, I let the dogs out!

It can't be really becuz you'ze in da wrong place! I did mark some nickels with a marker for the past year or so...but I live in Central Missouri, unless you woulda picked up your box in the Midwest Region Fed Redistributed Wealth centers doubt it would be me. I searched for errors, and RPMs, most marked were the very commons of the late 40's and 50's (46-59). I've done that with cents too, about 100 coins per box on cents and 50 on nickels...I have yet to come across many of my marker coins in 3 1/2 years. Only on one occasion did I find two, about two weeks after and it came from a local bank that wrapped their own, never in a Brinks or Garda sourced box.
