I am selling an inherited collection for a friend. I was given the hoard of treasure yesterday, have it mostly sorted out and am now going through them series by series. This coin was in an old Whitman folder in the 1912 D slot, but with the magnifying glass to me it looks like an S. (not just my wishful bias). I compared it to a few pictures online, but need a second opinion. Thanks everyone. Many more questions to come once I get to sorting the large cents, Morgans and foreign coins.

Looks like an S to me. Maybe it was hidden in plain sight in the D slot. Nice!

Thank you, the collection belongs to a friend now. He inherited it from his father a few years ago and only wants a few to keep for sentimental reasons.

I'm in the "S" camp, too.

Wow, a 1912-S, I'd be keeping that one for sure!
