I notice there are coins from different countries with the word "lunar" in the title. What exactly does this refer to?

It refers to the lunar calendar which several countries still use like China. 2016 was the year of the Monkey, this year is the year of the Rooster, next year its Dog. So a bunch of mints made Monkey, Rooster, and Dog coins in 1 and 2 oz silver. They tend to be collectible and sell well.
