In my previous post regarding the coin shop, I posted some pictures of a few coins from what will be known henceforth as "The Sulphur Hoard"

Not a huge amount, but $700 or so face value in silver 50c, 25c , and 10c is a hoard to me ! Anyway....We looked at most of the halves that week, a few were nice- most were not- if you saw the pictures you know what I mean (I will post a link to that post at the end if you want to see the halves)
This week we looked at the quarters and dimes. I personally like toning on a coin, and I like a nice brilliant white coin too- I am a collector -sue me ! I picked through them and brought home some interesting colors and darkness to share. Most of them are not really bad looking IMO, they do look a little better in-hand when you can shift the light across them. The colors are pretty accurate in the pictures, although a bit darker to the right side of the picture (the window is on the left

)
This is what can happen when High humidity (basement) meets a canvas bag in a residence with high sulphur content in the water. Love 'em or hate 'em...here they are

I really liked the color on these coins in particular, some normal colors, and some not so much seen rust/orange color. These coins have some or alot of underlying luster, I think it helps the colors "shine" more than the dullness of the dark blue/purple coins.

Forgot to post the link to the pics of the halves, here it is
