That's still a good Greaser. I would keep it because it's a great example of one. Almost dateless.

I was looking at the reverse die, checking to a clash, because that's usually why the dies/are so over polished/grease filled. The reverse die looks fresh, note details on columns and bays. Bet ya a dollar they had to change out the anvil die becuz it broke from a heavy pressure clash!

No way I'm betting opposite of you Crazyb0. I've read enough of your post to know better.

Are you familiar with Grease Mold doubling . http://www.error-ref.com/?s=grease+mold Basically the terminal digit of the date will show an enlarged version of itself stretched toward the rim .
Not having the coin in hand it is hard to say if your coin exhibits it because different lighting angles can bring the detail of the doubling up or disguise it. My second pic shows my 1996 with grease mold doubling at different lighting angles to detail the effect of ligting.
Take a good look at your coin because I think it has possibilities.

Thanks for the link stoneman227. No, I had not heard about grease mold doubling. I attempted to look at the date under different lighting with my hand held magnifier and my loop and the picture I posted actually shows better than having it in hand. It does appear that the '6' may be enlarged, so I am leaning towards it being what you described. Thanks again

Excellent!

Say, wouldn't "Greasers" be a great name for a sports team? Who could be offended by that?

Thanks Coinfrog. Sounds like a team from the 50's. There is a difference between offending someone and someone taking offense. I'm sure there would be some from the latter.
