I'm looking to buy a Hadrian denarius maximum $70 but less if pos!
Here's 5 coins I'm interested in with price, but would like to hear your views.
All have good points and bad.
Which coin you would choose and why...coin type, detail, overall look, price, centrality?
1..$51

Or maybe someone here has one slightly better at around this price?

#4 is my first pick with #5 as my second pick.

I always consider portrait detail and strike as most important.

I'd maybe ask for better images of #4. If the face is fully struck, it looks like that's hands down going to be the best in hand. Nothing like a nice ultra deep relief portrait!

I would do number 4 or 2. #4 has a detailed bust, a clear reverse. & Even though number 2 is a bit worn on its obverse, it has a smooth even toning, and some legend to it

It's not my area but, I'm with DavidUK. I'd take #3.

Thanks to all who replied...

It's interesting to see others points of view..

My order was #3 then #4 the latter much more detailed but I've always preferred the younger bust style, makes him look much more regal IMO.

Thanks again Paul

#4 clearly the best for me, I like complete legends.
I acquired my first denarius wayyyy back in 1965.
