I have the 15' & 16' reverse proofs that have a 1500 coin mintage each. Apparently, the 2017 reverse proof coin is way lower, at 1000 pieces.
I'm planning on buying this set, is anyone else? Edited by TMCD75 11/19/2017 7:59 pm

Yes, I bought a set a while back. The reverse proofs look very nice.

screw the set, the only coin worth something is the reverse proof with its low mintage for this year,,, but remember, if in the future the mintages come in lower than this one, these prices will drop hard.
that said, I am in, for the reverse proof, could care less about the proof...

BTW.. did you guys notice how many sets and individual coins are coming up, on the reverse proof for 2017, when graded, as 70s, compared to 69s? mannnn so many 70s, and from various dealers, so I am guessing they really did a great job on these...
the only thing that makes me uneasy is,,,, the dreaded milk spots that might happen ugh...
like man,,,,,,,

Yeah, the 70s are all over ebay. I've got to make a decision on this, I may go for a 70 this time. I usually buy 69s, but it seems like a time to go for the 70.

Hey TMC... I share the same sentiment and picked one up, after looking at whats out there, I won a 70. Plus, I dont want the set personally and it roils me seeing the APMEX logo lol ( I know probably picky on my part lol) 99% of the time, I do NOT buy 70s, especially in silver, but I had no choice this time, I have seen 2 69s,,,, and I dont own one and want the low mintage. I have another thought on this matter but I dont have time righ tnow, I'll post a recent thought on some research on this.

Congratulations! That's a SWEET pickup, man!! I'm going to Louisville for Thanksgiving and I'm going to trade in some gold bullion and junk silver so I can wheel and deal on some Libertads.
Right now, I think I'll try to pickup a reverse proof 2017 ms70 AND I'm looking at buying an ungraded 2017 onza gold BU or proof, not sure yet. The 2017 onza gold coins saw ridiculously low pieces this year.

I picked up a few. I will probably send them off to NGC, since it seems likely they will all be 70s. I will send the regular too. The 2017 regular proof is selling for well over $100 in 70. I will keep at least one in original APMEX so I can have one 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Yea I Dunno,,,
I get that this Libertad, well some of the gold pieces, like the 1oz, the BU is the 3rd lowest mintage ever.
What I dont get is why did everyone go so crazy for the 1/2 ounce Libertd, BU, when I believe, correct me if I am wrong, but its NOT a key date, yet they went like hot cakes?
I am guessing everyone finds the half gold BU Libertad more affordable?
THen, for the love of god, there a bunch of gold coins I want this year so I am so torn!!!
